Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I have a small pit in my windshield; can it be repaired?
Probably yes.  If it is no larger than a quarter and is not in direct view of the driver, our technicians can repair it.   The windshield repair process prevents the spread of cracks from the initial point of damage.  Contact Us for a cost estimate and to schedule the work.

  2. My windshield is cracked; do I HAVE to replace it?
Very likely, yes.  Modern windshields contribute to the structural shell that protects drivers and passengers and are critical safety items.  Besides, Minnesota State law forbids driving a car with a cracked windshield; you could be ticketed (See MN Statute 169.71, Subdivision 1).  Visit our Auto Estimate page to provide us the necessary information.

  3. Do you have my windshield in stock?
We carry an extensive inventory of popular windshields.  For windshields that are not in our storeroom, our suppliers make deliveries several times a day.  If we don't have it, we can get it in less than a day.

  6. How long will it take?
Most windshields take around an hour to replace; the sealants require an additional 3 hours to set.  After that, the car can be driven.  We recommend leaving a side window open around one inch and to abstain from car washes for an additional 48 hours.
